1. Can you introduce yourselves and tell us what each member of the band plays?

Sure thing! We are a 5-piece with Vanessa on vocals and rhythm guitar, Chris also on vocals, Marco on lead guitar, Josef on the bass, and Max on drums. If you wanna know more, just hit play on our songs. They'll tell you everything you need to know about MISFIT ALLEY.
2. How did Misfit Alley come together as a band?

Long story short: Chris was feeling a bit burnt out with his solo project and decided to team up with his producer Nico to form MISFIT ALLEY. The rest of us gradually joined over the past two years, drawn together by our shared passion for music.
3. What inspired the name "Misfit Alley"?

Honestly, it just sounded cool at first. But as we've grown together, we've realized that each of us embraces that misfit vibe in our own way, making the name feel even more fitting.
4. Could you describe the music-making process within the band?

Our process is still evolving, especially since we started primarily as a studio band. Typically, we lay down the instrumental tracks first, allowing them to inspire the lyrics. Then, we come together to refine and polish the songs before they're set in stone.

5. What are the main themes or messages behind your music?

Our music reflects the experiences and emotions we encounter in life. Sometimes it's delving into complex feelings, while other times it's simply about something as blatant as a heartbreak.
6. How would you describe your sound to someone who hasn't heard your music before?

We're still fine-tuning our sound, but we're edging closer to a dark, metalcoreish-infused vibe with hints of nu metal. It's a journey, and we're loving the evolution.
7. What sets Misfit Alley apart from other bands in your genre?

One standout feature is that we have two vocalists, which gives us a lot of flexibility to explore different dynamics within our songs.
8. Can you tell us about your latest single "Alter Ego"? What was the inspiration behind it?

"Alter Ego" delves into the constant struggle of molding ourselves to fit the expectations we or others have set. It's about the exhausting process of shape-shifting to conform, or perhaps revealing something much deeper within ourselves. So it’s the more complex type of emotional stuff we’re doing.

9. Where and how was "Alter Ego" recorded? Did you face any challenges during the production process?

We're fortunate to have a DIY studio setup, which is where we recorded "Alter Ego." While the mixing process presented its challenges, we pushed through and are proud of the final result.
10. What can fans expect from the upcoming music video for "Alter Ego"?

Our incredibly talented friend, a cinematic wizard named Rafael, crafted the visuals for "Alter Ego. It doesn’t have a storyline or anything but looks cool. And it’s our first music video, so tune in!
11. How has your music evolved since Misfit Alley first started?

Our sound has shifted from a more upbeat, 2000s pop-punk vibe to something darker and closer to metalcore and nu metal. It's been an exciting journey, and we're not afraid to explore different genres and styles.
12. What are your long-term goals or aspirations as a band?

Ultimately, we dream of leaving our day jobs behind and hitting the road to tour the world. It's a common dream, but it's one we're determined to make a reality someday.

13. How has being from Germany influenced your music and creative process?

Germany's diverse music scene has definitely influenced us, exposing us to a range of sounds and styles that have shaped our creative process and fueled our passion for experimentation.
