The Total Sound Of The Undergound

Lelahel Metal

Archangel is a deeply personal solo project, blending spirituality, struggle, and resilience into powerful metal compositions. In this interview, we explore the artist's journey, inspirations, and mission to uplift others.

1. Your single “From Hell To Heaven” addresses deep and personal themes about struggle and survival. What inspired you to write this song, and what message do you hope listeners take from it?

The main inspiration is my life. I became a father early and I had to work hard. At that time, people mocked young fathers in long hair and did not have light in workplaces. In addition, my ex -wife is of Gypsy origin so I encountered racial hatred and fights in defense of my values. I would like this song to be the strength and inspiration for those whose life is not very kind. It is a breath of hope and a means to find your own divinity in the strength of fighting adversity and addictions.

2. You’ve had a long journey with music, from childhood lessons to picking up the guitar again at 32. How has your relationship with music evolved over the years?

I love the sound of guitars. In childhood, unfortunately, there was no motivation and self-discipline. Repeating several chords in the circle has become boring. At a later age, after various life experiences, I wanted to find myself again. During my ex relationship, I had difficulty listening to music. She did not share this passion with me, I lived in a block of flats so I had no compromise output. Today, the world of metal music in my opinion is the most extensive form of art.

3. You mentioned that a Hunter concert was a turning point in your life. What was it about that show that ignited your passion for music again?

This was the first concert I saw. Today I laughed that they played instruments in a way that I had never had a clue before. The energy they spent on, this amazing depth combined with a timeless message, the brutal but warm beauty of this music affected me.

4. Your solo project, Archangel, reflects your life experiences and ideology. How would you describe the core themes and emotions that drive your music?

For me, spirituality will always be the main topic. This is an inseparable companion of my life. Existential and mental problems. Interpretations, overinterpretations of letters. I want to restore the old truths who we are really aware of the body and mind that has been distorted over the years by the Roman Church.

5. As a self-taught musician and songwriter, what challenges have you faced in creating your music, and how have you overcome them?

First of all, I started learning to play the guitar from the beginning. Laughter here. I had melodies in my head and I had to see which way to play and then grind to make it even and clean. I started learning English for 3 years. Every day I learn and grind guitar crafts. I also go to voice emission lessons for a short time to learn to sing someday. Here is also laughter. The biggest problem was to deal with sound processing, here I use the help of a music studio.

6. You started learning English at 32 to better communicate through your music. Has this influenced your songwriting or the way you express your ideas?

It is so harder for me, I am going to write texts longer, besides, I try to write in such a way as to be able to explain myself from what I want to convey. In addition, it is a desire to talk to every being.

7. Your music aims to offer psychological support and inspire social change. Do you see Archangel evolving into more than just a musical project—perhaps a movement or community?

I think that there is nothing more valuable than the fact that we can sometimes light a light of hope. I personally enjoy the fact that I am able to help someone. I can't encourage everyone. It is an individual matter whether we want and how we feel about it. My nation is very helpful, we have a war next to it, we have conflicts inside the country but we still have people who often help at the expense of themselves. For me they are contemporary heroes. I intend to create all the time, this is my natural need for some riffs and the texts have been waiting for 15 years for the possibility of sailing. I don't know if I kidnap people. He certainly feels strong enough not to be afraid to speak aloud what I think. I feel fulfilled by creating music.

8. Many artists struggle to balance their creative pursuits with personal responsibilities. How do you manage music, work, single parenting, and sports all at once?

I work as a sales representative, so I have a flexible graphic designer. My son who lives with me is almost 12 years old. My daughter has 14 and lives with my mother. My children are the source of my inspiration. This is part of my blood from which I sometimes learn myself. Sport helps me balance. I recommend it to everyone, no tablet can replace the possibility of running especially in such a beautiful and wild region of my country as Masuria. There are times that you don't want to and have health and self-discipline here.

9. You recently started voice training. How has this experience impacted your approach to singing and composing music?

As I mentioned earlier, the first song that conquered my heart by Fade to Black Metallica. I have part of the romantic soul, I love the beauty of Chorus's sound. I have prepared ballads but I can't sing them yet. I really can't wait to do them properly.

10. Metallica’s “Fade to Black” was the first song you remember hearing. How has their music—or other bands—shaped your sound and artistic vision?

It was when I was a small child, now Slipknot and my Polish bands like Behemoth and Vader took over these reins. I consider these three bands uncompromising in my art.

11. Looking ahead, what are your goals for Archangel? Are there any upcoming releases, collaborations, or live performances you’re working toward?

He plans to compose, create, learn and grind. It gives me the greatest joy. This is my spiritual food. Here he feels the greatest fulfillment of dreams. I am learning my live numbers, but for now I have only one guitar 😎 I intend to promote my music as possible. I currently have 4 studio recordings. In general, the material for a good hour of music and is currently working on a litany of destruction, this is just hell-laughter.

12. Finally, if someone struggling with hardship or self-doubt listens to your music, what is the one thing you’d want them to take away from it?

Everyone has their own way, although it commonly looks like social inequality, we do not know if this is the result of the migration of souls. There are things and phenomena covered by us. I would like her to add strength to everyone who stands even before choosing to give up life to believe that it can be better. The problem of suicide is silent in my country. There was a time that on average 33 people a day took their lives in this children. For me it is a failure of humanity when children take their lives. Archangel must prevent this. For me, even the one who plays in the trash counts. And nothing can describe his happiness when you give him bread from the store.
