The Total Sound Of The Undergound

Lelahel Metal

Manchester’s explosive industrial metal duo, NOX PULSO, have released their blistering cover of Nine Inch Nails’ classic "SiN" on Friday, March 7, 2025. This track is part of an NIN tribute album and serves as both a homage and a statement on modern digital claustrophobia.

NOX PULSO—comprised of Matt McIvor (electronics) and Duncan Williams (guitars, vocals)—chose "SiN" for its timeless themes of obsession, control, and betrayal, which resonate deeply in today’s hyper-connected, algorithm-driven world. Their reimagining of the song updates its sonic palette with cutting-edge production techniques while retaining the raw, visceral energy that made the original so iconic.

Eschewing digital perfection, the duo recorded "SiN" in under a day, capturing the guitars and lead vocals in single takes. No auto-tune or corrective effects were applied, embracing the raw imperfection reminiscent of Trent Reznor’s early recordings.

This release stands as a unique project separate from NOX PULSO’s forthcoming album "Two," due in 2025. The band will also perform at Resistanz Festival in April and contribute an exclusive track to its limited edition CD. With "SiN," NOX PULSO bridge industrial’s past and present, proving that the chaos of the 90s is alive and thriving in the digital age.
